John S. Knight Journalism Fellowships for International Applicants at Stanford University, USA

Stanford University is providing John S. Knight journalism fellowships for US and international applicants. US applicants for a Knight Fellowship must ideally have at least seven years of full-time professional experience and international applicants must ideally have at least five years. But less experienced applicants with outstanding achievements will also be considered. No college degree is required. Each year 20-plus journalists from all over the world come together for 10 months.

Open Society Fellowship for International Students at O.S. Foundation, USA

Applications are invited for Open Society Fellowship. The fellowship considers applicants from all parts of the world. This is a fellowship for individuals only and does not fund enrollment for degree or non-degree study at academic institutions, including dissertation research. International Fellowship terms are for one year which covers stipend, accommodation, airfare, visa costs, research assistance, conference fees and health insurance. Most fellows spend a portion of their term in one or more Open Society Foundation offices.

IBM PhD Fellowship Awards Program for International Students, USA

IBM annually awards PhD fellowships to exceptional PhD students who have an interest in solving problems that are important to IBM and fundamental to innovation in many academic disciplines and areas of study. Fellowships are awarded worldwide to the students of all nationalities. Fellows are awarded a stipend for one academic year. Fellows are strongly encouraged to participate in at least one internship at IBM while completing their studies. Students must be nominated by a doctoral faculty member and enrolled full-time in a college or university PhD program, to be eligible for the fellowship.

MMMF Grants for Women of Developing Countries, USA/Canada

Applications are invited for Margaret McNamara Memorial Fund grants available for women applicants of developing countries to pursue their degree in the USA and Canada. Applicants must enrolled (in residence) at an accredited U.S. or Canadian educational institution for the full academic year in which the application is submitted and intend to be enrolled for the subsequent year covered by the grant. An MMMF grant covers only a portion of the total costs for an academic year. Therefore, applicants need to access other financial resources.

International Fully Funded PhD Studentship at Swansea University’s College of Engineering, United Kingdom

Swansea University’s College of Engineering is inviting applications for a fully-funded PhD studentship for a research project on “Advancing the Techniques of Non-Standard Computed Tomography for Complex Material Analysis”. Applicants should have a 1st class BEng OR a 2:1 (min) MEng OR an MSc in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or a related subject. The studentship covers the full cost of UK//EU tuition fees, plus a generous tax-free stipend of £20,000 p.a. for three years (subject to satisfactory progress). Presidential Scholarship for International Students at Fairleigh Dickinson University, USA

Hong Kong PhD Fellowship Scheme for International Students, Hong Kong

Research Grants Council (RGC) of Hong Kong offers PhD Fellowship Scheme for international students in Hong Kong. More than 230 PhD Fellowships will be awarded in the 2015/2016 academic year. The Fellowship provides an annual stipend of HK$240,000 (approximately US$30,000) and a conference and research-related travel allowance of HK$10,000 (approximately US$1,300) per year to each awardee for a period of up to three years. For awardees who need more than three years to complete their PhD studies, additional support may be provided by the chosen institutions.
