The University of Auckland is delighted to offer one or more RMLA Masters Scholarships to study in New Zealand or Overseas. New Zealand citizen or permanent resident are eligible to apply for this scholarship programme. RMLA scholarships are designed to encourage graduate students from a range of disciplines (law, planning, engineering, geography, science, landscape architecture, urban planning and resource management), to focus their research theses or dissertations on topics related to the application of resource management in New Zealand.

Vice Chancellor Doctoral Scholarships at Auckland University, New Zealand-2017

Auckland University of Technology is offering vice chancellor doctoral scholarships for domestic and international applicants. These scholarships are awarded to applicants who are qualified to register for full-time study in a doctoral degree at AUT. The scholarship is tenable for up to three years. If a recipient has been enrolled in the doctoral programme at AUT for more than six months at the time of application the scholarship tenure will be reduced accordingly.

Bings Scholarship for International Students,New Zealand-2016

Applications are invited for masters thesis scholarship from students undertaking the thesis year of a Masters programme at a university in New Zealand. The value of each award shall be $2,000 per annum. Each award shall be tenable for one year and that year shall be the thesis year of a Master’s degree. They are to be awarded to any persons without restrictions of gender, race, nationality, creed or age who, by their occupations, courses of study or experience are qualified to carry out research (at Masters level).

International Doctoral Research Scholarships - New Zealand:

New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships (NZIDRS) are open to all international students and awarded every year. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit. The NZIDRS closes to applications on the 15th of July each year.

 

Scholarship includes (as in 2008):

  • full tuition fees for three years of full-time doctoral study
  • NZ$20,500 per annum living allowance (NZ$1708.33 per month).
  • up to NZ$600 annual health insurance allowance
  • NZ$2000 (across 3 year tenure) travel allowance. This is intended to be used for conference attendance and field research
  • NZ$800 (across 3 year tenure) book and thesis allowance
  • NZ$500 one-off establishment allowance. Only to be paid to those students who are travelling to NZ specifically to take up the NZIDRS. No student already located in NZ is eligible to receive this amount.

You need to show evidence that academic supervision is available when you apply for this scholarship. Applicants should contact the relevant university departments to confirm the availability of appropriate supervision before submitting their applications.
