The University of Pretoria invites applications from excellent doctoral graduates to apply for the Vice-Chancellor’s Postdoctoral Fellowships at the University. The aim of the fellowship is to develop their research skills and academic careers through participation in the University’s areas of research strength and strategic priorities.

These fellowships are awarded in biological sciences, data sciences, economics and business sciences, energy, engineering, food security, genomics, health sciences, humanities and social sciences, and sustainable development.

These fellowships are available to pursue postdoctoral programme.

Applicants must meet the following area for the scholarship:

  • These fellowships enable recent doctoral graduates.
  • International applicants are eligible.

 

Benefit:

Awards are made annually on a competitive basis. The expectation is that fellows will be active and productive researchers, and develop academically, under the mentorship of experienced academic staff.
